Cefixime ofloxacin for oral suspension

Plumcef-O Syrup is an oral suspension combining two antibiotics, cefixime and ofloxacin, designed to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin, works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death. Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, interferes with bacterial DNA replication and repair, enhancing the formulation's effectiveness against a broad spectrum of bacteria. This combination is particularly useful in treating respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and gastrointestinal infections. Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, and indigestion.
