In order to control the British borders and prioritize the British public and economy, the Government of Britain has formally exited the European Union (EU) on 31st January 2020. Post Brexit, the officials have made steps to strengthen its immigration system through the recently inducted UK Points Based System. Till now, due to free border movement, there was a mismatch between the required skilled labor and the migrants. To address this issue, the UK Government has introduced a point-based system which has been established in practice from 01st January 2021. From this day, the EU and non-EU citizens are treated at par and the migrants are being invited as per their points which they receive according to their merits. They need to score at least 70 points to be eligible for application to UK immigration.
