Why does your computer make a whirring sound?

It is common for a computer to make a weird whirring noise. The reason behind the noise is that the computer fan is overloading, which happens during the use of programs with a high-CPU load, like video-rendering software or graphics software. And is trying to prevent internal hardware like the CPU from getting overheated. But if the computer fan stays on like this for some time it means that the computer is not cooling down and could result in a fried motherboard. A fried motherboard basically means that your computer is dead.
